Classes begin may 2027

Chess Education Training Workshop
Participating in a workshop like the one we’re proposing here could be a way to get involved in chess education without over-committing. Rather than purchasing our full "Teaching Chess Basics" course beginning next Spring, consider registering for the annual Southeast Homeschool Expo held in Atlanta every year. We’ve never been, but we hear that the turnout has increased markedly since COVID.
We will purchase a booth along with 2 separate 1-hour workshops. These workshops would be non-transactional to market our chess education training this way, for those who are unfamiliar with the benefits of chess education for kids.
Please let us know what you think. Drop us a comment if you have some interest in the expo, or have been before. You can even get free admission if you sign up to volunteer.
We're sharing the 2026 workshop schedule for the Southeast Homeschool Expo running in July.

Southeast Homeschool Expo July 24th-25th
Come to a convention where you can see all kinds of home education materials! You can buy on-site and order too! Instead of just shopping online, you can actually see the homeschool curriculum and homeschooling books and make better-informed decisions. Hear the best in homeschool speakers who bring wisdom and helpful advice on how to educate children. Georgia homeschooling has expanded in so many ways, such as classes outside the home, K-12 tutoring, co-ops, sports teams, marching bands, football, baseball, soccer, golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball, distance learning, classical schooling, unschooling resources, and unit studies.
The ease of homeschooling in Georgia allows families to travel all over the world, students to target their own interests, and parents to better educate their struggling learners (including ADD, ADHD, and Learning Disabled). Gifted students especially benefit from homeschooling because it allows them to move on and pursue a greater level of ability than most other “classroom” children can achieve. Browse our website, where you can find lots of events, including help to learn how to homeschool your young children through their teenage years.
Get tips on how to choose homeschool curriculum, classes to ace the SAT or ACT, join-enrollment, and dual enrollment. Search our directory to find tutors, co-ops, classes, and Georgia homeschool support groups. We hope that you can find everything you need at the Expo! We also have classes and tutoring available year-round at Atlanta Learning Concepts.
