About Warren

The essence of chess is more than moves on a board. It's about community and inclusivity. I started my chess journey in 2009 in Georgia's Paulding County, and my vision was to create a vibrant chess community. I believe that true mastery of chess is about sharing its beauty with others and making a welcoming and engaging environment for everyone.

Common misconceptions often stop people from exploring chess. They think they are not smart enough or don't have the patience. I want to dispel these myths by showing how tailored teaching approaches can make chess accessible and enjoyable for everyone. I've seen the transformative power of chess firsthand and refined my teaching methods to ignite each learner's passion for the game.

Testimonials from our local community show the empowering impact of chess, which builds self-confidence, self-discipline, and resilience, which are essential for the chess journey. My approach goes beyond traditional teachings and aims to revolutionize the chess landscape, bridging gaps and nurturing a sense of belonging and growth.

Angelene began holding chess pieces at 18 months of age.

She began to learn the names of the pieces by age two. By age three she was able to set up the chess board unsupervised. She began to learn the rules of chess and play a legal game of chess unsupervised by age four.

In Kindergarten, against forty kids, she tied for first place in her after-school chess club tournament against an eleven-year-old boy.
